The new band is called the Kenny Shore Band. This band plays original shows at music venues, festivals, house concerts, etc. Members include Dave Gardner (Gembox, etc) on drums, Mark Kloos (returning member of KS & Co) on bass, Jick Winslow on keys, e. guitar, mando - formerly with Milagro Saints, etc., - Robert Sledge fills in on bass on occasion - formerly with Ben Folds Five, etc.

They played at Bynum Front Porch (with Sledge on bass) Friday, July 12, 7-8:30. Video from that show coming soon.

Sonic Al’s Backyard Concerts in Chapel Hill, NC on September 1, 4:00 - 6:00pm

Kenny continues to work with Jerry Brown at the Rubber Room Studio in Chapel Hill, NC on a follow up album to his critically acclaimed 2022 album, Time Stands Still. Robert Sledge (Ben Folds Five) has been putting bass tracks down and Andrew Marlin (Watchhouse) has already added mandolin to one song so far. Joe MacPhail is playing keys and drums once again. Joseph Terrell has been adding electric guitar, lap steel, and backing vocals. The legendary Will McFarlane, Muscle Shoals session guitarist and formerly with the Bonnie Raitt band, is putting guitar on the song “What’s the Difference”. It’s shaping up to be a more serious/intense dive into Kenny’s songwriting, with lots of new songs as well as a couple of older ones that have never seen the light of day. There’s a new song about Ayahuasca called “Monkey Jungle”. The album is tentatively called “Happiness & Misery” and will be released in February, 2025. There will be a single release by the end of the year. Stay posted for updates.

Kenny’s song about lengendary singer/songwriter John Prine - Almost Like Heaven -was premiered on Americana Highways. Andrew Marlin of Watchhouse (Mandolin Orange) plays mandolin and a unique “octave mandolin” he fashioned out of a 1950s Martin guitar, which he calls “Curtis”.
